As we were too late to visit the Abbey yesterday we made a slight detour before beginning our journey home and this time were successful in gaining entrance.  Not what I expected but interesting all the same and well worth a visit.    My blip shows the organ and choir stalls.     It was founded 
in 1083 and was the  home of the fictional character Brother Cadfael.
