Roly's Life

Marmite

Today was meant to be uneventful.

Unfortunately Smallest was playing on the Wii with the rats out, he jumped back and landed on Biscuit. It was clear she was badly injured so after giving a devastated Smallest the chance to say sorry and goodbye we zoomed to the vet. Her prognosis was what we expected and she was put to sleep.

Having read up while waiting, we took her home for Yogurt to see her and know that her sister had died. She seemed uninterested so eventually we took Biscuit away to be stored safely until we could bury her.

It was then decided that we should try and find companions for Yogurt, especially as we were about to go away for a few days. Fortunately we found a pair of young girls - now named Marmite and Nutella (or Dobby) and the introductions have begun. Heartbreakingly, at one point Yogurt was sat in her ‘space pod’ making a noise that can only be described as crying. Fingers crossed she will accept the new girls and not pine away.

Thankfully after the upset I had Gin Club to go to - much needed and months since the last one. Then my Prince Charming turned up at midnight, having returned from Turkey, to get me safely home.
