Life In Wales

Sky Diving

The forecast was for it to rain all day, but somehow they got it wrong and it's been sunny and mild, although it was a bit blustery.  I went out for a walk at lunchtime and the seagulls seemed to be struggling against the wind and weren't getting very far, so it made it easy to get some shots - I think they were finding easy pickings in the sea because the waves were crashing so probably throwing up things for them to eat.

This afternoon I telephoned my oncologist's secretary to see if my MRI results were back - I've got an appointment with her next Monday, but they told me on Thursday that the results would be available today, so I couldn't wait a week.  Anyway, she just said that she'd get the Macmillan nurse to call me, so of course this sent me into overdrive and I had a rather stressful 30 minutes, thinking the worst!  However, it's good news, they found my brain and it's all as it should be with nothing nasty lurking.  My shoulder however, has a tear in the tendon and also some bursitis (fluid), so the recommendations are an ultrasound and injection into the bursa.  At least I know what it is though, and have spoken to my insurance, who have said that Annabel my physiotherapist can recommend referring me on for further treatment.  I'm seeing her tomorrow, so I'll have a chat with her.

There's no update on the car unfortunately, I had an email from the police saying there's not much they can do, however at least I have a file reference now for the insurance.

My only other news is that Xena the Belgian student has been in contact with me looking at other language schools for next summer and she has decided to go to the Brighton Language College for four weeks in June/July and will be coming to stay with us for that period - hopefully it will be a better experience for her than she had this year!
