Near/Close Focus (MM251)

I decided to go for a literal interpretation of the theme for this week's Mono Monday and see how close I could get my macro lens to focus.  The subject is the connectors on my mid-range-zoom.  This is after I had given them a cleaning wipe! 

Photographed in a light tent with a daylight lamp for illumination. 
The lens focussing scale stops at 30cm and measuring the gap, that looks to be about what it is.
