The Rock Pool Salmon Beat on the River Tay

If ever there was a true ‘holding’ beat for salmon on the middle Tay then this deep pooled venue is definitely in the running for the award. Dunkeld House Salmon Beat is one of the very few Tay beats that can almost guarantee a  catch on the January opening day each year. Now the salmon are at rest - and also the fly fishermen! It is currently the policy to always return salmon to the river.
