When Fergus walked on the Silver Sands of Morar

Possibly the best weather day to come in the week so just as we did last holiday we drove out the 'Road to the Isles'. This time Glenfinnan was quiet. All the ferries were in the harbour in Mallaig waiting for the winds to drop. The larger fishing boats were still putting out to sea. The Tea Garden Cafe was closed, so it was sandwiches for lunch looking out over to Eigg, Rum, and Skye.

We spent the afternoon making the journey back, with a stop for a wander along the Silver Sands at Morar.

Since most of the holiday cafes and tea rooms seem to be closed for the season we bypassed Arisaig on the way back to Ballachulish.
