There can be few families in Europe who have not lost a relative during WW1.  My Grandma’s teenage brother died with many of his friends who volunteered together in ‘The war to end wars’   Since then many families have been, and continue to be, devastated by conflicts and wars during the last 100 years.  By remembering perhaps we or our children will eventually achieve peace throughout the world.  We can but hope.
