Silent
Among the congregation at this morning’s Remembrance Day worship at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church were ten figures who were ‘There But Not There’.
They represented the 61 men who fell in World War 1 whose names are inscribed on the Village War Memorial. Their names were read out during our service, along with those on the Memorial who fell during World War 2.
Our church was decorated with a display of over 9,000 knitted poppies, a display of love and thanksgiving created over the past few months by members and friends of the congregation and unveiled this morning. See extra. I've posted a full set on my Flickr account.
Wonder what our absent friends made of it all?
