Remembrance Sunday

100 years since the end of the war to end all wars and what a wonderful moving day. Fitting tributes everywhere and our village celebrated the wars ending this evening with a beacon lighting, tea dance and live band in the hall.

880'000+ commonwealth soldiers died and 2 million+ on the German side, so nobody "won". And who knows what was learnt by leaders following this human made disaster.
