Remembrance Day

Went over to school to be part of laying wreaths at the village cenotaph. Was an emotional service as each wreath was dedicated to one of the village men who fell during WW1. I say ‘men’, but their ages were shockingly young. A lot of the school children and their families turned out which was really good to see.

Blip is of the village wreaths, plus the home-made one from the Rainbows. This was put together to remember all the children who have died within conflicts.

After, we went to our friends’ house for a beautiful Sunday lunch. It was a really pleasant afternoon, only cut short by the need to do the shopping for school ‘After Care Club’.
