Rather a late back blip...

The Route du Rhum race leaves from Saint-Malo for Guadeloupe in the Caribbean in a weeks time. All the boats are in the harbour at the moment so you can go and look at them, along with all the sponsors and civic dignitaries. The race is a single crewed race across the Atlantic, and the past races have seen tragic losses and many sailors being forced to abandon, it's a very scary thing to do.

Today we went down for the "village" opening to have a look round, it was quite busy but not all the stalls were open yet, some of the stalls were not actually open today..
