New Appliances

We went into Bishop’s Stortford first thing to get some electrical sockets, which my husband had ordered. We also had breakfast in Café Thyme. Then I drove home and we went to Cambridge on the train. 
 
Whilst in Cambridge, we looked at some appliances, as I wanted a new toaster. We did not intend buying anything, but just to look. However, from today’s picture you can see that we purchased a toaster as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. They were on offer, which was why we decided to get them today, as they were what we were looking for. When we got to the checkout, the discount did not come up. However, we were given the discount; the offer had run out, but no one had changed the tickets. We left them at Lakeland while we went to a Mensa meeting. On the way to the meeting, we went into John Lewis and purchased a new microwave; it will be delivered later in the week. Our current appliances are very old and we decided it was time for some new ones.
  
After the Mensa meeting we went back to Lakeland to collect them and it was raining heavily, if I had realised that it was going to rain that much I would have taken them to the meeting with me.
