Strongwoman

The kids had accumulated a bunch of plastic spoons from a yoghurt place. Well, supposedly yoghurt; it was really much more like ice-cream. Yogur-berry or something. Anyway, they are incapable of getting rid of stuff, so they've been keeping them, and using them in preference to proper cutlery, for years now. I finally went NUP they're gone. As I gathered them up I saw that on the back they say they're biodegradable.

So I proposed to the kids an experiment. I suggested they take a spoon each (I threw the rest) and bury them. In three and six months they can dig them up and see if there's any visible degradation.

It took a bit to get them to see that a stick in the lawn as a marker wouldn't work, so I had them stand by their plots and I took a photograph for each of them.
