Weymouth

I'm writing this a day later (Wednesday) as I was rather tired last night and had salty sea-air wind battered eyes last night! So yes, hurrah! The far too early for a human to be travelling 5.30 a.m. train from Waterloo to Weymouth was running (on time too!), despite the floods that had affected several lines.

I had a lovely day in Weymouth, I walked for quite a few miles and despite the skies in the distance looking like the end of the world was about to commence, there wasn't a drop of rain and surprisingly, quite a bit of sun!

I took this photo in Lodmoor Country Park, which I spotted just behind the beach, as I quite liked the sun shining on the reeds and the fierce looking sky behind. I'd taken quite a few photos of the beach and the harbour, but a few of them looked like the sea was climbing up a hill! Well my hands were rather chilly (a bad workman blames his tools!)

The 17.04 train home was on time too (thank the Lord! I was rather knackered tired by then! SO glad I went though, I really didn't think I'd actually get there though with all the delays/cancellations the night before.

I'm well behind with my comments/replies though..many apologies!
