Squirrel Blip Friday .....

I was glad that I took some squirrel pictures early as the day didn't go as planned .....

The extra is not for the squeamish ....

And neither is the explanation ....

I had to run to the grocery this morning and as I was getting out of the car the door closed on my right middle finger! OUCH!!!!!  It took me a few seconds to realize what happened! And then figure out that I had to open the door with my left hand in order to get my finger released!

I still went into the store to get the few things that I needed even though my finger was throbbing and the nail quickly turned black & blue! When I got home I called Richard and he suggested that I go to Express Care.

So off I went ....

They took x-rays of the finger to make that there were no fractures .... which there weren't!  Then the numbed the finger (and all the others, too!) so that they could cauterize a hole in the nail to drain the hematoma.  Thankfully I couldn't feel that .... until later when the lidocaine wore off!!!!  But I did find it very cool to watch! 

My whole finger tip is very sore today (Saturday) and still black & blue!
