Long road to Knysna

After our long flight to cape Town, we stayed at the airport hotel and collected our hire car in the morning. A couple of hours drive and I was ready for a break so we stopped in Swellendam at a lovely riverside restaurant for coffee and amazing lemon meringue pie. It is still all a bit surreal sitting outside in the sunshine seeing flowers in full bloom and the trees covered in fresh green leaves!
Another four hours drive (with another stop in a place called 'Wilderness'- great name and wonderful scenery )and we arrived at our 'home' for the next 18 nights- Knysna.
We got our 'usual' apartment so settled in very quickly, unpacked then walked up to Oldes pub for the best BBQ spareribs in the world!
