Abandoned

Strangely, we lost some of our oriental poppies this year so I ordered some new ones a few weeks back along with some other plants. They arrived yesterday and as the forecast advised that today was to be sunny I ventured into the garden to plant them.

Ten minutes into the job the heavens opened and the rain couldn’t have been any heavier. I took refuge in the shed where hubby found me when he FaceTimed from Africa.

I eventually got a dry spell and finished the job but it wasn’t as much fun as I had hoped for.
