Looking down on the town

We walked into Kendal over Cunswick Scar this morning and then had a look at Castle Howe (Kendal's 'undisputed first castle', a motte and bailey fortification dating from the late 11th century). This is the view - the other castle (13th century) is just visible at the other side of town.
