Autumn in Town ...

This early morning fierce sunshine was like a mighty spot on Zadkine's famous "Destroyed City", Plein 1940 (Square 1940) at Leuvehaven and next to Maritiem Museum in Rotterdam. The statue is a national monument.

My attention was mainly drawn by that contrasty background, the trees in the last days of their autumn splendor.
