* 9-11-1845: left liberal leader Robert Blum was executed in Vienna - the beginning of the end of the German March Revolution
* 9-11-1918: Wilhelm II, German Emperor, was dethroned, which ended the German Empire, and the German (Weimar) Repulic was proclaimed by Philipp Scheidemann
* 9-11-1923: Hitler and Ludendorff fail to seize power in Munich during a coup d'etat known in anglophone countries as the Beer Hall Putsch
* 9-11-1938: Reichskristallnacht - the Night of Broken Glass, a pogrom againt Jews throughout Nazi Germany, is widely recognized as the beginning of The Holocaust
* 9-11-1989: Fall of the Berlin Wall, after an East German official accidentially declared, that freedom of travel was granted to all GDR citizens (effective immediately), which ultimately lead to the German Reunification less than one year later and the fall of communism in Eastern Europe
