Garden along the house front

I decided to work from home today. Spent the morning on dealing with stuff that I would likely have been distracted from in the open plan arrangement we have on Level 5. The boys had not gone to school today so we went out and had lunch with them.

Which is where I took this photo. The lovely pink rose is the one we planted two weeks ago, It's really good that the buds that were there have all produced flowers, with more on the way. Just hope that it continues to grow so well.

Hope to spend some more time there this weekend. The work on J's house is coming on now, and she may be able to move home in only a week or two. At some point not far distant, we'll all be putting time into that garden as well. Not quite the same as having our own garden again (rather than pots on the deck of the apartment, and a steep clay bank at the beach house). Sometime soon, we will make a change.
