Pasty Day #2
This isn't a complaint, but...one of my "jobs" in retirement has turned out to be a delivery boy.
On the first Wednesday and Thursday of the colder months, a local organization turns out the pasties, a meat pie filled with beef, potatoes, carrots, and rutabaga.
For the last couple of months, I mention to my wife about the two days, and she places her order...with me.
At high noon, I went to a neighboring city, and picked up 41 pasties. 1 for my lunch, 4 for our neighbor's supper, and 36 for Lisa's employees. Let's see...at 4 dollars a pie...that's 41 times 4...equaling 164 bucks.
So, that's what I've become. A delivery boy, a courier, a runner, an emissary, a pick-up guy, a go-fer.
BTW, again...my pasty was delicious, and it was gone before I made the delivery.
