Kansas City

A day of shopping. We drove to an Outlet Centre near Kansas City where W and I both bought several things. Anyone from the UK who is used to outlet centres in the UK like Bicester Village would be amazed at how quiet this was, and also how much cheaper some of the things were! There were several statues around including these five of sprinter Maurice Greene from Kansas, who was the fastest man in the world in his day. I liked the way the five depicted him in different poses from the starting blocks to the finish line.

We then drove into Kansas City itself for a look round. The city straddles the state line with the better part actually in Missouri. A nice city but it seemed very quiet.

Out for dinner tonight with our friend Mary Ann.
