Praise on my wall at work

I was totally blown away when I saw what people had written about me. Positive? I never knew, because I am rather negatively inclined to this method of trying to get people to commend each other. They put up an empty sheet for every employee where others should write some accolades about that person.

It seems to me that they have misunderstood what it's about, at least in my opinion. I think one should laud a work well done or if somebody has improved in some way. It's not about writing everybody's good characteristics.
