Simplicity - Derwentwater from Manesty Woods

Our camera club special subject competition this season is on the theme of "Simplicity" - chosen by our "twin" club in Beaufort, South Carolina. So I took some shots on our outing today which could be used for that. This is one of them, taken when the rain set in this afternoon during our trip to Manesty Woods. It's best viewed large, against black.

The first extra, looking north up Derwentwater, shows the rather better weather we had at the time of our lunch stop.

The second extra was taken when I was doing my best to copy John Gravett's technique of showing up the autumn colours at their best.
