Fishing
My sewing machine died today, with a few days to go before my last craft fair before Christmas! Catastrophe! Fortunately I have sufficient stock for Saturday, and tomorrow may bring a shopping opportunity ;-)
So, with all the parts laid out on my work bench in vain, we decided to abandon futile attempts at repair and went for a walk to the beach. Although quite dark, the sky was beautiful. As we turned to come home at dusk we saw hundreds of seagulls congregating above a patch of sea. They were fishing! They would hover, dive, twist and turn in the sky...what a display. A chap stopped to ask us what it was all about. He said he lived locally and had never seen the seagulls do this before. I took loads of photos and have had a hard time trying to pick the best, but here is my choice. After this there was the most glorious sunset which made the whole sky look like it was on fire. Simply stunning.
Sorry I have been so absent from Blip of late. I seem to have had other things on that have taken my time, but I will attempt to catch up on journals, though I doubt I will be able to comment on everything. My apologies but I will do my best :-)
Only one backblip for Saturday 17th here if you are interested.
