Honduran White Bat
Tiny, white, fluffy and oh so cute these Honuran white bats were roosting under a leaf in the middle of the rainforest this morning.
Woken this morning at dawn with the sound of Howler monkeys echoing through the rainforest was amazing and we have been out there all day shooting anything that moved.
Shot from underneath the leaf and looking up these bats are hanging in the V having cut the rib of the leaf with their teeth in order that the leaf folds down in the middle to protect them. You really wouldn't have known they were there but we have had a fabulous guide today, Cope, who has shown us all so many fascinating things from spectacled owls, crested owls and long-eared bats during a jungle trek, a sloth with baby and hummingbirds in his garden. We have had a ball!
