Purple Patch
A late blip because we've had a long day out today. We got the train to Scarborough using a special offer from a local paper and a train company. We arrived in sunshine but a sea fret came in and it remained dull for the rest of the afternoon. We had hoped to see some different birds, but there wasn't' a great deal around. Despite this we had a most enjoyable day, one of the highlights being the crashing waves as the tide came it. Two reliable birds were around and posed nicely for photos - the blip is a Purple Sandpiper and the extra is a Turnstone.
