One of my colleagues brought a souvenir from Kobe. It's baumkuchen!

I would just call it baumkuchen while I didn't really know what the German word means. In Japan it's called as it is in German.

Another colleague who's from China told me they don't use the German word as it is : they use their own Chinese words literally meaning "tree cake."
