THE MELBOURNE CUP

I ran around nine holes of the golf course this morning and spent lunch with these gorgeous girls to watch The Melbourne Cup being raced, at midday here in Western Australia.
Much laughter, advice, wine, delicious food and MrDs Lime Tart to finish off.
An exciting race won by a UK horse - not many in the race are from Australia these days.  A very exciting race nonetheless although one horse broke down which was awfully sad - we all agreed at the beginning of the race that none of the jockeys or horses should be hurt.  Sad.
