A Warm Glow
Chuffed tonight. One of my main activities for the Friends of Figgate Park is producing our annual wildlife calendar. Our 2017 calendar tested the waters, and proved really popular. The 2018 calendar was a little late in being produced, so we went for a limited print run, then sold out. So more organised this year, and 400 calendars for 2019 (4 times as many as last year) arrived at the house today.
They're fully funded by Hitachi of all organisations (they now run the train depot that sits behind the park), so every penny of the £8 price will go to the park. We're sitting on over £3,000 of potential funding! So now it's time to get selling (and I dropped off a couple of samples tonight with a local ladies' group, who we did a presentation to last year on the wildlife, and work we do).
Quite pleased with how this has all come together. Now time to get all 'Apprentice' on the selling... Or no. Better than that. Given they're all moronic attention-seekers.
