The humble safety pin


I have long pondered the reason why the universe developed.


I feel I am almost at the solution now. I could never understand why people came up with ideas for things; why they developed ideas; why they suddenly thought; ‘oh I know, if I did this....’

I used to lay on the beach on a warm summer night, stare at the sky and think; how did we get here from that... houses, cars, clothes, machines ... and I would get so confused, I’d have to go to the pub and have another drink.

But now, reluctantly, as a result of the new Doctor Who for whom I am not warming to the way I would like; ( I mean she’s a girl ‘girl power’ and all that; but to be honest. She is trying too hard to channel David Tennant and Matt Smith and Tom Baker it hurts... and those monologues. Bleugh); but I digress - on Sunday night, they had a problem....

‘Think of a solution and then imagine how to make it happen’

And that, I believe is the way the world has developed!

For example..... how can I affix this to me, but enable myself to remove it at a later date. ... if I had a flexible metal attachment I could click on to me I could pin the item and then remove it safely later .... a safety pin


I’m off now to contemplate everything and imagine the situation which caused someone to imagine a solution.
