Standing at the Sky's Edge

This photo was taken on the walk I back-marked today, where we walked across Manor Fields and along Sky Edge. If my title sounds familiar, it's taken from a Richard Hawley album title, which in turn is taken from this green space where you can get one of the many amazing views across our fair city of Sheffield. In the foreground are pigeon lofts.
When we bought our first house, we looked at a property in a very unpretentious area of the city, which the estate agents described as having an aviary and a conservatory (pretty unusual in those days). The reality was the house had a pigeon loft and a lean-to shed.
