Old Salt

I collect old tools and trinkets from the world of the waterman. Here is a wooden scoop used to bail out a wooden skiff. in the front is a netting needle used to make and repair fish nets. I have smaller ones used to make crab nets. Next is a stick used to measure crabs. Below that is a captains whistle some assorted bobbers and a few fishing lures. It is resting on a rusty oyster hammer. I have several boxes full of this dust collecting stuff but I hang on to it because it reminds me of a simpler time when people had to work hard and life just seemed better.
