Punk 1976-78

There's a brilliant exhibition in the Central Library of various bits of punk ephemera, including a lot of Eric's related stuff - fliers, tickets, contracts and the like. There are also a lot of mint condition singles, fanzines (the first edition of Sniffing Glue) and other bits and pieces.

The collection is part of the LJMU punk archive, which is said to be one of the biggest in the country and it was just fantastic to spend an hour wandering around. The singles have all been digitised as well, so I got an ace soundtrack to go with it.

The photo is Rat Scabies' leather jacket. It was made by Lewis Leathers and acquired by Scabies in 1976 for the Anarchy in the UK tour. In 2011 he decided to send it back to be added to the archive.
