Goodbye Old Friend

We bought this car eighteen years ago, new.
A couple of weeks ago I had a minor accident resulting in a  buckled front wing and a broken indicator light. Because of its age the insures have decided that it's a write off. So this morning we said goodbye and in a few days we'll be getting a new, very much smaller and more economical, car.
I somehow doubt that it will take us as FAR as our old one.
