Beautiful Stowe

We seem to have got out of the habit of going to Stowe. Which is ridiculous as it's less than five minutes away!
But I decided today was the day to get off our lazy butts and go out for a walk.
It was so beautiful!!! 
I had planned to get a late lunch in the cafe before we headed down to the gardens but annoyingly we got there at 3.05pm and they stopped serving proper food at 3pm. So there was nothing for it but to eat cake, ice cream and crisps.
After our healthy lunch we had such a gorgeous walk. The Little Misses had bought their packs they got from the Woodland Trust yesterday. Leaf identifying kits and a box for all the goodies that they collect. They had a brilliant time hunting for leaves and seeds and sheep's wool. As well as climbing trees, hiding in temples, sitting on the ha-ha, playing pooh sticks and swinging on gates. It was great! We really, really need to get back into the habit of going there.
As ever we were the last to leave. They locked the gate behind us just as it was starting to get dark!! 
As it was just us walking back up to the car we let Archie off his lead and he had a fabulous run around. He likes the Autumn leaves!!
