Road strip

An early Blip today - I heard the sound of the leaf-sweeper while I was still abed, but it was some time later before I saw it coming up our road. I wonder what happens to all that lovely potential leaf mould? Probably goes into landfill, along with the rubbish which is undoubtedly mixed with it.

We collect the leaves which fall on our side of the road and in our parking space and compost them - still working out how to use the result! In the absence so far of a garden to use it in I might take it along to the veggie plots this year.

Maybe I should suggest that the council donates a space where this could be composted, cleaned up and returned to the gardens of the community! Dream on!
