Plant and Food Research

The Tree Croppers group visited the Plant and Food Research centre at Earnsleugh. A very interesting place. Their research is varied although it focuses on apricots and cherries. Clair, who shared her workplace with us is a most enthusiastic scientist. Her work has helped create a new apricot variety which will last longer when stored and it has amazing taste and appearance. Should definitely be a commercially viable winner.
