Wild
The wind was pretty wild during the night but had calmed down a lot by the morning.
I was up early and watched Ross Edgley complete his round the British coast wild swim , without touching land in the 157 days he was at/ in the sea.An amazing sight as 300 swimmers joined him , including a swimmer from the Highlands, for the last Kilometre to Margate beach.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46088884
When Mike got up the sun was shining and the tide was in so we went back to Udale Bay for a quick check for the egert .No sighting of it but there was a lovely group of ringed plovers, lots of widgeon, shelducks and mallard plus many others.
Saw a neighbour there so had a chat with her.We drove back through Cromarty and over the top to Earnie. There used to be a great view to the Point and Fort George from there but the trees and gorse have grown to tall to see over. This was the view of one of the fields on the way down the hill.
There were lots of Aurora sightings as there was a red alert but I could not see anything from here. Was a great sky though with the Milky Way looking good :)
