That time already?

Good old Delia got brought down off the shelf again for the annual Christmas cake making.  I've used her recipe for years, it's definitely my favourite, but this year I went a bit wild and put some figs in with the other fruit.  And used whisky instead of brandy.  Sorry Delia!

It's worth making a cake just for the smell in the kitchen, and that's just the fruit soaking.  There will be cooking smells tomorrow . . . !
