Grey Mare’s Tail

So Mr P and I decided that given the forecast was for lovely sunshine, he and I would head up to the Grey Mare’s Tail next to St Mary’s Loch. We left sunny Peebles at about 11sh and arrived at a very wet Grey Mare’s Tail approx. 45 mins later. We sheltered in the car from the torrential rain and then decided to brave it up to Loch Skeen. After our rather damp picnic, we ventured back down. By then I’d realised that my new walking boots were definitely not waterproof! The heavens opened up again. We got soaked and to top it all when we got back to Peebles it was still dry and sunny!
