Shire Hill Wood

A mid afternoon walk on a very dark and breezy Saturday Afternoon.

I saw a lot of Fieldfare and Woodpigeon, I say saw but everything was black and grey in the sky (including the birds) so to see the colours in the wood I just had to try to photgraph them.

This is a 2 Second expose at F8  (ISO 200)  and is one of 6 shots I tried around the woodland but this is the only one that captured the moment with the main trunk in focus and the movement of the leaves in a strong breeze.  

I got home put the radio on and Newcastle scored !
(worthy of note as a rare event this year)
