Fishpond at the Voskuilenheuvel...
We had a great walk today at The peel landscape park Voskuilenheuvel, it is the last remnant of the former Peel as it was present 100 years ago. Now that virtually all the rough soil in the Netherlands has been mined, such a Peel remnant is of great cultural-historical value.
My photo is of the fish pond created by sand and gravel extraction. The lake provides a good living environment for all animal species that live in the park.Especially for the Slob duck, mallard, coot, wigeon and other waterfowl ... and it is relaxing to fish there...(in the extra, some walkers and some sheep who live there)
It was a wonderful walk, but I'm knackered now...So legs up and much coffee for me...
