Falling Rocks
On the second day when we were heading to Shirahama, driving along the peninsula, we stopped by at a roadside station to take a rest.
The station appears to be an ordinary one, but actually it turned out to be one of the popular travel destinations in Wakayama: behind the station there was a line of strangely shaped rocks, the scenery of which has attracted many visitors. If you were tempted please search 'hashigui iwa' on the internet to see some photos of the rocks (that's how they are called).
The sign is asking you to stay away from the rocks because pieces of the rocks may fall. It's a sensible precaution.
