Today we went to the beach at Playa del Duque. Quite an upmarket area with plush looking hotels and shops. There are sellers on the beach walking up and down selling cold drinks, African style blankets, beach clothes and cocktails. Some of the drink sellers have their own little call... one was very monotone repeating over and over ‘water, biere, fanta’ Rolling his r’s in his Spanish accent . The other selling cocktails had more of a sing song voice going up and down (but it never changed) pina colada, fresh mojito etc. Fascinating. There were also Chinese ladies walking around offering massages. Mr C had one on his legs and feet....he was very impressed for €10.

Another evening spent on J&Ss balcony eating gazpacho and meats and cheeses.
