Eucalyptus Burl

Went for a walk with K to Monga National Park - really beautiful in that very Australian way.  The noise of cicadas was extraordinary - like very bad tinnitus coming in waves that make you feel quite giddy (but in a good way).  I love all the gum trees - the bark is so photogenic.  Took quite a few photos but decided on blipping this burl - every time I look at it I see a different face.

On the way back we stopped for ice creams at Braidwood.  There was an art trail happening this weekend so we popped in to have a look and the first person I saw was M who lived on Mull about 8 or 9 years ago.  What are the chances?!  Am hoping to meet up with him and K and family next week.
