Great Spotted Woodpecker

Today is very wet again so another lazy blip through the kitchen window. The Great Spotted Woodpecker does not usually feed in this area, preferring our larger feeder which is hanging in another tree.

The other day I mentioned to Skyrider that the squirrels did not steal from the bird feeder, but today GOG saw the squirrel attempting to steal the bird's nuts; the squirrel actually got very little for his efforts. In my defence, I had not seen a squirrel do this previously.

It is almost lunch time and so far today I have done very little except sort out paperwork and pay bills; this afternoon I must work!
