The Alchemist

I am told that this is the name of the rose which we have climbing on the fence between the beach house and the neighboring house. We had seen the rose in the headlights as we arrived last night. After an unsuccessful attempt to get a photo in the dark, I waited and took this in the morning daylight.

A lovely visit to have lunch with our friend in Mangawhai. A storm has been forecast for tonight, and the wind did pick up strength as we drove back this afternoon.
