Banded Dotterel

Such a super visit this morning, with Nature Photographic Society, to the Waikuku Estuary, where the Ashley River flows into Pegasus Bay.
The nor-wester was doing its best to blow us off the banks, but I'm sure we all captured some memorable images.

I was thrilled to get this photo of a male dotterel in flight.
There are a couple of images of pied stilts in Extras.
